Windows95/98 was best in class and reliability certainly wasn't present. I don´t think I´d ever even consider an app as best in class if reliability is not present. Quote:I find it hard to reconcile uT being the best (according to you) and uT not being reliable (also your summation). Failing that, other BT clients need to realise they're not Napster or Kazaa and stop trying to be. It sorely needs to become open source so some people who have clues can make it work properly.

It doesn't do UPnP how any normal app is meant to, instead using its own non-standard subset of UPnP (which not all devices support, but uTorrent tries it on them anyway EVEN DESPITE the fact they advertise that they don't support it), just because the author thinks that's best.Good, yes. It doesn't understand Network Location Awareness, so can't find out if the connection has changed and know to query the trackers again. It also has an issue with unclean shutdowns (crashes) where it loses the entire list of torrents. Its network handling by modern standards is crap. UPnP support is flaky at best (WHY does it not use the Windows SSDP/NLA API?).

I assume you never experienced some of uTorrent's uMemoryLeaks, satnDOkatn?Yes, it is the best BT client, though ABC and Azureus can compete. Initially this problem was with utorrent so I switched to Bitcomet cause I used to use Bitcomet on my desktop (XP Home) & it worked perfectly fine but with the laptop it's just not working for some reason. Anyone know what's going on? I never said I'm downloading anything illegal - View image here: -This happens even when my total download speed is at about 25kb/s (max my net supports is about 55kb/s) & I've limited the global upload speed to 5kb/s. If bitcomet is not running web browsing works perfectly fine. I have to reset the router & then I can surf the internet for about 5 - 10 minutes but after that again no more web browsing (if bitcomet is running). Not even through the Bitcomet built in browser. But after that, Windows Live Messenger stays signed in & I can chat with people & Bitcomet downloads continue but I cannot surf the internet through ANY of the browsers. I'm using Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition & the Windows Firewall.I've got three internet browsers though I primarily use only one Mozilla FireFox 2.0.0.4, Safari 3 Beta, Internet Explorer 7.When I open Bitcomet 0.7 the internet works fine for about 5 - 10 minutes after the application is launched. I've got a laptop with Windows XP Pro SP2.
